I’m wandering around Copthorne with a genie’s lamp in my work bag, Dom’s busy constructing a magic carpet, and Ghostbusters showed up in everyone’s Spotify Wrapped – which can only mean one thing, it’s nearly time for pantomime!

Tickets are on sale and going fast (at time of writing, there are only 2 seats left for our first matinée!) so get yours now!

The lovely Nicki Barnett, our fab producer for the show, is also looking for front of house volunteers for the show run. If you reckon you can help out for a performance or two, please drop us an email and we’ll add you to our roster.

Join Santa’s float!

Santa’s float will be going round the village on Friday 20th December from 5:45pm until around 8pm and we have once again been invited to join the fun!

  • Collectors should look festive (Santa hats/tinsel etc.) and wear their best smile at all times.
  • Children are welcome, but must be under adult supervision.
  • If you have a reflective jacket, please bring it along.

Please let me know if you want to join in, and I’ll let everyone know the meeting point. I’m excited – it’s the first time it hasn’t clashed with a panto rehearsal and I’ll be able to come along!

Coming up…

Once panto is over, we’re onto our 2025 programme proper! Our next show will be a Copthorne Players classic – we’re coming together to put on a celebration of all our favourite musical theatre songs, inviting all our members old and new to join the fun!

If you’re interested in performing in our “Back to the Musicals” showcase on 3rd May 2025 at Copthorne Village Hall, please fill out this form to submit your interest. All are welcome, whether it’s your first or fortieth show with the Copthorne Players! Gemma Mansfield and Katherine Whinn-Collins are coordinating the show – please contact them with any questions or contact us and I’ll pass the message on.

All the best,
Megan Birch
