Good morning ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to your flight to Paris. The Copthorne Players are pleased to welcome you aboard for Boeing Boeing. Your captain today is Bernard, an American living in Paris with three girlfriends – none of whom know of each other’s existence. Or in other words: look forward to the Copthorne Players’ next production, a classic farce originally written in French by Marc Camoletti and translated into English in 1962 by Beverley Cross & Francis Evans. Its quick pace and strong characters make it timeless, with absolute precision demanded of its actors as they burst through doors onto the stage, avoiding each other in the nick of time. Will Gloria, Gretchen and Gabriella come face to face? Will Bernard’s long-suffering housekeeper Berthe finally lose patience with switching over the photographs on the mantle? And will his friend Robert manage to avoid having a heart attack, and maybe even end up stealing the heart of one of Bernard’s fiancées…?
